Ishan Kishan (born 18 July 1998 in Patna, Bihar) is an Indian international cricketer and stand-in captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026, deputising for Pat Cummins. A dynamic left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman, Kishan is known for his explosive stroke play at the top of the order. He made his T20I debut for India in March 2021 and scored the fastest ODI double century (210 off 131 balls) against Bangladesh in December 2022, a world record at the time. Kishan was part of Mumbai Indians for several IPL seasons before moving to Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2024. He plays domestic cricket for Jharkhand. Kishan leads SRH in the initial phase of IPL 2026 in the absence of the regular captain Pat Cummins.
