Lauren Kyle joins her friends for a fun girls’ night in New York while Connor McDavid hits the ice

The Emonton Oilers battled the New York Rangers this week, but Connor McDavid’s wife, Lauren Kyle, enjoyed her own fun night in the city. For their Tuesday night game at Madison Square Garden, the Oilers were in New York; Lauren kyle made the most of the trip. She uploaded a few Instagram stories on Wednesday providing glimpses of her night with friends. One video showed the group walking up the glowing arena steps before the puck drop. She later added a selfie from dinner with the caption, “Way past our bedtime @racheldunford @laurenkyle1.”
Lauren Kyle McDavid enjoys night out with friends in New York
Lauren spent the night with her best friends cheering for her husband’s team, Connor McDavid, who she married in 2024. Among her friends was Matleena Laakso, wife of Oilers forward Kasperi Kapanen.
Beginning their evening at Madison Square Garden to show support for the Oilers, the gang then dined at a comfortable Manhattan restaurant. Smiling and laughing about staying up late, Lauren posted a mirror selfie for her friends.

Later, she posted a short clip from Fouquet’s New York, the luxury hotel where the couple stayed. Her Instagram story showed the warm lighting, soft décor, and elegant design of their suite. Lauren often shares her lifestyle moments online, and this one gave fans a relaxed look at her night away from the rink.
Connor McDavid’s week on the ice and off
While Lauren enjoyed her time in New York, Connor McDavid helped lead the Oilers to a 2–0 win over the Rangers on Tuesday night. Goalie Stuart Skinner made 30 saves, Trent Frederic scored in the second period, and Adam Henrique added an empty-net goal assisted by McDavid in the third.
The win marked the Oilers’ second straight victory of the season. Off the ice, Lauren continues to build her fashion brand, Sports Club Atelier, which she launched in late 2024.
She’s also known for her stylish home designs and her frequent appearances at Oilers events. Her night out in New York showed her fun side, balancing fashion, friendship, and life alongside one of hockey’s biggest stars.
