Travis Hunter’s wife Leanna shares powerful faith-filled message on love and standing against evil

Travis Hunter’s wife, Leanna Lenee, gave fans a peek into her faith on Friday, when she posted a screenshot of a scripture on her Instagram story. Leanna, who has around 242,000 followers on Instagram, highlighted verses from Romans 12:9–18 about loving sincerely and hating evil. She emphasised lines like “Be joyful in hope… hate what is evil” to spread a message of genuine love and integrity.

On Friday, at an unspecified time, Leanna Lenee used her Instagram story to share a screenshot of a longer text from Romans 12:9-18. She highlighted specific phrases in pink. 

One of the highlighted parts reads: “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. … Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud… Do not be conceited.” 

Leanna’s post was clearly aimed at showing how she and Travis Hunter view their faith and life. It was a quiet message, but one with purpose urging sincerity, kindness, sharing with those in need, and rejecting evil. In the same post she also referenced the idea of “hating what is evil” while loving what is good. 

The sharing of that scripture comes amid a personal season for the couple: Leanna and Travis tied the knot in May 2025, and welcomed a baby boy in August, ahead of Travis’s rookie season in the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Travis Hunter, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is in his first season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. According to recorded stats, through seven games he has logged 298 receiving yards and one touchdown. 

The scriptural post by Leanna appears in a week when Travis played in London against the Los Angeles Rams at Wembley Stadium and the Jaguars lost 35-7. Despite his own personal best of eight catches for 101 yards and his first NFL touchdown, the team suffered a blowout loss. 

On the social-media front, Leanna also shared a mirror selfie Instagram story posing alongside Travis and their son (the baby’s face was hidden).

Travis wore an all-black outfit, Leanna wore a black crop top and shorts, and the baby was dressed in blue. That snapshot added a personal, family moment amid the busy rookie campaign. 

Travis’s dual role as wide receiver and cornerback (he played both in college) continues to draw attention. The scripture sharing by Leanna suggests the couple place value on faith and home life even as the sports spotlight grows.
