Five weeks into the NFL season, picking the best team remains a debate. Tom Brady, however, has made up his mind.

In his latest Fox Sports power rankings ahead of Week 6, Brady put the San Francisco 49ers at No. 1, saying they have "distanced themselves from the field." He also made a bold prediction about Minnesota's defense and brought his former team, the New England Patriots, into the top 10. Here is his full list, starting at No. 10.

Detroit Lions: Fireworks on Offense, Questions on Defense

The Detroit Lions (3-2) enter at No. 10 after beating the Arizona Cardinals 45-21. Brady said they might be the most fun team to watch for a neutral fan.

Jared Goff and the league's highest-scoring offense are doing their part. The defense remains a concern, though, and Detroit will need to clean things up. A veteran head coach and an experienced quarterback give the Lions time to work on those issues. They are on a bye this week.

Denver Broncos: The Biggest Question Mark of the Season

Brady called Denver (3-2) the biggest question mark of the season so far. The Broncos beat the Chargers 23-17, but their offense still has not made the jump many expected.

Bo Nix needs to push the ball downfield more often, Brady argued. Without that threat, moving the chains will remain a struggle. Denver gets another chance to answer those questions Thursday night against Seattle.

Seattle Seahawks: Four Turnovers Cost the Champs

Seattle (3-2) fell four spots after losing 32-29 to San Francisco. Brady's biggest concern was the four turnovers, which proved costly in a game the defending champions could have won.

He also noted the pressure that comes with defending a title. Every opponent wants to beat the reigning champions, and Seattle has little room for mistakes. Zach Charbonnet is back, while Jadarian Price could return in a few weeks. Their availability may help ease the burden on the defense.

New England Patriots: Tom Brady Has Seen This Panic Before

The Patriots (3-2) cracked Brady's top 10 for the first time this season. His reaction reflected his familiarity with New England's ups and downs.

The sky's falling in September and the Pats are dead in the water, until they aren't.

The former Patriots quarterback has reason to pay attention. Now a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, he watched New England beat his team 45-17 in Week 5.

Drake Maye has been central to the turnaround. Over his last two games, he has thrown for 643 yards and seven touchdowns with one interception. In his first three, he recorded 585 yards, one touchdown and six interceptions. The difference is striking.

Baltimore Ravens: The Backup Quarterback Keeps Winning

Brady joked that Baltimore (4-1) cannot seem to escape the top 10. Backup Tyler Huntley led the Ravens to a 30-23 overtime win over Atlanta, with Derrick Henry rushing for 200 yards.

Kicker Tyler Loop earned praise, too. After a costly miss ended last season, he has made five field goals from 50-plus yards this year, including a career-long 64-yarder. Baltimore visits Cleveland next.

Jacksonville Jaguars: A Defense That Smothered the Eagles

Brady dubbed Jacksonville (4-1) the London Jaguars after their 19-17 win over Philadelphia. Having played overseas himself, he knows that the score matters less than getting the job done.

The Jaguars' defense held the Eagles to just 22 rushing yards. Brady believes Jacksonville has one of the NFL's best defensive units, with only one team ahead of it on his list. He also called receiver Parker Washington "an absolute dawg" after watching him develop into a genuine contributor.

Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen Erases the Mistakes

Buffalo (4-1) climbed three places after beating the Rams 37-34 in overtime. Brady acknowledged that the defense still has "a lot of work" to do.

Josh Allen continues to cover those flaws. He ran 10 times for 120 yards against Los Angeles, a total Brady joked was only slightly below his own career rushing yardage. Allen also got an overtime win against Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay, removing a monkey from his back in the process.

Minnesota Vikings: The Early Makings of an All-Time Defense

The unbeaten Vikings (5-0) beat New Orleans 23-13, prompting Brady to make one of his biggest claims of the season.

I'm talking the early makings of an all-time defense.

Brian Flores' unit has allowed only three points and 12 rushing yards in the fourth quarter all season. Brady noted that Minnesota blitzed more than 90% of the time in its last game. He believes quarterbacks no longer read protections as they once did, making that pressure especially difficult to handle.

Kyler Murray and Kevin O'Connell are also finding ways to unlock Justin Jefferson. Brady even asked fans to suggest a nickname for the defense. Minnesota has a bye before its next game.

Kansas City Chiefs: Resting at 4-0

Kansas City remained at No. 2 during its bye. Brady joked that sitting out is a good way to stay undefeated, while praising the Chiefs' fundamentals through four games.

The schedule gets tougher from here. Kansas City hosts the Chargers on Sunday before facing Seattle in what Brady called a huge test.

San Francisco 49ers: Nothing Short of a Miracle

The 49ers (5-0) claimed the top spot after rallying from a 26-21 deficit entering the fourth quarter to beat Seattle 32-29. Eddy Piñeiro's 44-yard field goal sealed the win.

What they did in Seattle was nothing short of a miracle.

San Francisco's defense made the difference, recording five sacks and forcing four turnovers. Renardo Green intercepted two passes, while rookie Gracen Halton forced and recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Fred Warner forced another fumble, recovered by Malik Mustapha, to set up a Christian McCaffrey touchdown run.

Brady highlighted the five sacks and four takeaways, calling them exactly what a team needs to win on the road in the NFL's most hostile environment.

The 49ers have already won at Seattle and against the Rams in Australia. Pro Football Network's Team Impact grades support their No. 1 position, although the margin is narrow: San Francisco sits at 82.4, ahead of Jacksonville at 81.6 and Minnesota at 80.0.

Washington visits Levi's Stadium on Monday, and Brady has already put the game on upset watch. A win would strengthen San Francisco's hold on No. 1. A loss could give Minnesota or Kansas City an opening.
