Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez cheer Chiefs at Arrowhead as Travis Kelce watches tough Texans loss

Taylor Swift returned to the NFL spotlight on Sunday, December 8, 2025, when she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game alongside her close friend Selena Gomez. The two were seen cheering from Travis Kelce’s private suite at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs played the Houston Texans that night but lost 20–10. This appearance stood out because Taylor Swift had not been seen at a Chiefs game for several weeks, making fans quickly notice her return.

From the suite of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, her boyfriend, Taylor Swift watched the game. 

Sitting close to Selena Gomez, she remembered the first recorded occasion Taylor Swift attended a Chiefs game with her best friend after her affair was revealed. 

Long-time friend of Taylor Swift, Lena Dunham, was also in the suite. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio was noticed seated immediately behind them. 

Earlier this year, Leonardo DiCaprio was seen on Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, which gained fans’ attention. 

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift conversing, smiling, and reacting to important happenings on the field featured in social media films. 

Kansas City didn’t do very well in the game itself, but the emphasis quickly swung to the suite full of celebrities. For online followers, it was wonderful to see Taylor Swift enjoying the game with a member of her entourage.

Chiefs fall to Texans as Taylor Swift returns after weeks away

All through the game, the Kansas City Chiefs struggled and ended 20–10 to the Houston Texans. Travis Kelce could not score, therefore the attack lost momentum. Fans at Arrowhead Stadium had a terrible night following the loss. 

Page Six claims this was the first Chiefs game Taylor Swift went to since November 23, when Kansas City faced the Indianapolis Colts. 

Her lack from games recently had generated subdued interest, hence her comeback garnered even more discussion. Following the game, neither Taylor Swift nor Selena Gomez spoke publicly. 

Still, supporters online applauded Selena Gomez for being present during a difficult loss and assisting her friend. Many noted that Taylor Swift doesn’t have to show support by attending every game.
