Micah Parsons said he does not like the Chicago Bears but it is not personal. Parsons told reporters on Thursday, December 4, 2025, that he wants respect and he wins respect by dominating opponents. The Green Bay Packers edge rusher made the comments before the Packers meet the Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3:25 p.m. CT on FOX. Parsons has 12.5 sacks this season and is one of the key reasons Green Bay hopes to win the NFC North. His blunt words set a sharp tone for the big division game.
Micah Parsons says it is about respect and not rivalry
Parsons told reporters: “For me, it’s just going out there and just dominating. I just don’t like them because I just see like the disrespect. I play for respect. You know how to earn someone’s respect is beating the shit out of them.”
He spoke in the Packers’ locker room on Thursday and left no doubt about his mindset for Sunday.
Parsons also joked about his friend Myles Garrett, saying Garrett should finish his sack chase, a quick aside that showed Parsons is both serious and playful about big goals this season.
Garrett leads the league in sacks and is on pace to challenge the single-season mark.

Caleb Williams, Bears coaches and how Chicago plan to handle Parsons
The Bears know Parsons is a problem. Caleb Williams, in his second NFL season, moves well and buys time.
The Bears must protect him and keep Parsons from wrecking plays. Coaches and players have said containing Parsons will be a top focus on every snap.
The Bears will likely slide extra protection and use quick throws to stop Parsons’ rush. Analysts have compared Parsons’ disruptive style to other elite pass rushers who force teams to change game plans.
The outcome on Sunday will show whether Caleb Williams and the Bears’ line can slow Parsons or if Green Bay’s pass rush decides the division race.
Game info reminder: Packers vs. Bears, Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, 3:25 p.m. CT at Lambeau Field. FOX will broadcast the game. Watch how Parsons’ hunt for respect clashes with Caleb Williams’ calm in the pocket.
