Joe Burrow deals with injury as Cincinnati Bengals continue to struggle
Sunday, at Gillette Stadium, in Week 12 against the New England Patriots, Joe Burrow missed Cincinnati Bengals action.
The Bengals lost 26–20. Post-game, Bengals coach Zac Taylor spoke about Joe Burrow’s condition and said, “I thought he put himself in a great place to play this weekend; best decision for us was to wait a few more days.”
This season, Joe Burrow has only played two games. He injured a turf toe in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and has missed nine games after that.
Beginning two wins, the Cincinnati Bengals thereafter lost four straight. Once they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, they plunged once again into a long losing streak.
At present, the Cincinnati Bengals are 3–8; ESPN estimates their chances to get to the playoffs at 1%.
Joe Burrow’s return will be determined by how he responds to counseling over the next few days. The group is carefully watching his progress as Week 13 approaches.
