Derek Stingley Jr confirms pregnancy with Annabella Macy as emotional photos spark huge reaction across NFL fan circles

Derek Stingley Jr. shared happy news on Wednesday, one month after he got engaged to his fiancée Annabella Macy on October 10. The Houston Texans cornerback said on Instagram that he and Annabella are expecting their first child. They announced it through a joint post on Wednesday from Houston, Texas. The couple said they are having a baby boy who is due in April 2026. The update came with pictures from their photoshoot, and Annabella wrote that they already love their son “more than words can explain.”

Derek Stingley Jr. and Annabella Macy made their announcement on Wednesday through a shared Instagram post. 

They posted a set of pictures taken during a private photoshoot in Houston. The pictures showed the couple holding a tiny blue outfit and smiling at the camera.

Annabella Macy wrote a simple note in the caption. She said, “Baby boy, mom and dad love you so much already. April can’t come fast enough.” The message was posted on Wednesday afternoon.

The cornerback shared engagement photos a day later. The pregnancy news comes almost exactly one month after that moment.

According to reports shared in 2023, Derek Stingley Jr. and Annabella Macy began dating when he was in his second NFL season.

 Annabella Macy grew up in New York and played soccer at Pace University. She later became captain of the soccer team there. 

She finished her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2024 and now works as a fitness trainer in Houston.

Derek Stingley Jr. prepares for Week 13 as Texans face the Indianapolis Colts

As the Houston Texans take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season, Derek Stingley Jr. will return to the field on Sunday. 

Beginning at 1 p.m. ET, the game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Having three straight victories, the Houston Texans are 6–5. The Indianapolis Colts are 8–3, atop the AFC South. Houston will aim on Sunday to maintain its momentum. 

On defense this season, Derek Stingley Jr. has been exceptional. He has three interceptions, eleven pass deflections, and nineteen solo tackles among his 25 tackles.

His performance on Sunday will be absolutely important as the Texans try to slow down the Colts’ assault led by their young playmakers.
