Smriti Mandhana confirmed a major personal update on Sunday, December 7, 2025, when she shared that her wedding with filmmaker Palaash Muchhal had been called off. Within a day of that announcement, fans noticed another clear sign. Palaash Muchhal removed his viral proposal video with Smriti Mandhana from Instagram. The video had once drawn huge attention online. Now, its sudden removal has again put the former couple in the spotlight, with many people watching each small move closely.

Palaash Muchhal removes proposal video of Smriti Mandhana from Instagram

On Monday, December 8, 2025, social media users spotted that Palaash Muchhal had deleted the proposal video that featured India women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana.

The video was earlier shared on his Instagram profile and had gone viral just days before the wedding plans collapsed. In that clip, Palaash Muchhal blindfolded Smriti Mandhana and took her to DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

The place holds special meaning. It is the same stadium where India won the Women’s World Cup final against South Africa earlier this year. The emotional setting and public gesture made headlines across sports and entertainment platforms.

While the proposal video is now gone, a few old photos of the pair are still visible on Palaash Muchhal’s profile.

Fans also noticed that both Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana have unfollowed each other on Instagram. Neither of them has commented on the video deletion so far.

The couple was earlier set to marry on November 23, 2025, in Sangli, Maharashtra, which is Smriti Mandhana’s hometown. The wedding was first postponed and later fully cancelled, as confirmed through their individual statements.

Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal share clear messages after wedding call-off

On Sunday, December 7, both Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal posted official statements on their Instagram stories.

Smriti Mandhana addressed the situation directly. “There has been a lot of speculation around my life,” she wrote, before adding that the wedding was called off. She asked people to respect the privacy of both families and allow space to move forward.

Smriti Mandhana also shared where her mind is right now. “For me, representing my country has always been the highest purpose,” she said. She added that her focus will stay on cricket and winning for India.

Palaash Muchhal also shared his side. “I have decided to move on and step back from my personal relationship,” he wrote.

He spoke about the pain caused by rumors and asked people to pause before judging private matters. “Our words can wound in ways we may never understand,” his note read.

These statements remain the only official word from both sides, shared directly through their verified social media accounts, which serve as the main sources for these updates.
